Question
I have a question for you music buffs out there. If I were to get a USB audio device that would allow me to record music directly onto my computer, what would you recommend?
Just a place to praise or bitch about all forms of entertainment, movies, books, games, theater, theme parks, and general shenanigans **offers pistol**(if ya dont get it, you, yea you, don't belong)

um, as far as that goes if your talking about your guitar, there should be a cablethat just plugs from the guitar or amp to your computer, then you just need to get a program like acid music. As far asvoiceor other thing, I would just buy a decent mic and still use acid. There are other nicer programs out there for this, but you are going to pay out the ass for them, even the real version, not the one found at best buy, is nearly 400 bucks. I would just look at the stuff at best buy or fry's and get the one that suites your needs, or get more than one. let me know what your talking about when you say usb recording devices and i'll do some research and ask some of my UNT recording engineer friends
I was thinking something like this:

And then using Apple's Garage Band to do some minor tweaking if necessary.
ok, thats just a fancy device that has a lot of different inputs. Go for it, its basically the same thing i haveon the front of my computer with all the inputs. That should work fine.
